The primary purpose of the BSAdv component is to capture all information needed to track Scouts advancement progress, and to record their participation in activities.  In addition, personal information about Scouts and adults can be optionally recorded.  The information that the unit can enter includes:

  • Scouts: names, addresses, phone numbers, birth date, joining date, email address, patrol membership, positions of responsibilities, OA membership, active status.
  • Adults: names, addresses, phone numbers, email, OA membership, leader training status, relationship to Scouts.
  • Activities: dates, descriptions, advancement completions, merit badge completions, nights camped, miles hiked, service hours, Scout participation, adult participation.
  • Financial: deposits and payments by account and by person.  These optionally can be associated with activities.
  • Awards: dates earned, dates purchased, dates awarded.

Data is stored in the web site database.  Reports are dynamically generated from this data.  Immediately after you enter data, the results will be shown in online reports.
